Project Report PR 35 Rapid characterisation of contaminated sites using electrical imaging

Abstract

Focuses on linear electrical resistivity profiling to determine the danger of a contaminated site. Intended to provide users with an insight into what may be achieved by a geophysical approach and at what cost. Suggests alternative geophysical techniques where relevant. Describes the expected effect of various ground conditions on the images and gives the results and outline interpretation of each of the case studies. Limitations are discussed.
