Arts Council of Wales (ACW)

The Arts Council of Wales supports individual artists in all artforms and assists them to produce work of excellence and innovation and to build a strong community of artists in Wales; supports the production of work of the highest quality by Welsh artists and encourages its promotion, presentation and touring in Wales and abroad; aims to increase the number of people taking part in arts activities; ensures there are diverse opportunities to experience the arts; improves facilities for the arts in Wales; aims to increases arts events, attendances and purchases of art across Wales; increases resources for the arts by advocating the arts and ensuring their inclusion in the policies of agencies in Wales and beyond. Also known as Cyngor Celfyddydau Cymru.
