Cathedrals Fabric Commission for England (CFCE)

The Cathedrals Fabric Commission is the statutory national body concerned with the care and conservation of Church of England cathedrals. The Commission's terms of reference embrace the architectural, archaeological, artistic and historic interest of cathedrals, their contents and setting. The Commission's functions include: the regulation of certain proposed works to cathedrals; the giving of advice to administrative bodies; and collaboration with organisations and projects relating to the care and conservation of cathedrals generally.
