Common Ground

Common Ground is working to encourage people to value and enjoy their own familiar surroundings, regardless of whether they are rare or unusual. It believes that it is with the commonplace things that surround people's daily lives that conservation should begin if it is to have lasting meaning. Its strategy for change is to forge links between the practice and enjoyment of the arts and the conservation of landscapes and nature. It also promotes local distinctiveness in building.
