English Heritage (EH)
English Heritage is the principal organisation statutorily responsible for the conservation of the built heritage in England. It has responsibility for managing 400 of the country's most important historic buildings and ancient monuments as visitor attractions, assists others to conserve and protect the wider heritage, and provides technical and professional advice based on experience and research. It is the Government's official adviser on all matters concerning the conservation of the historic environment. It produces a wide range of publications ranging from popular interest material to specialist and academic books.
