Forestry Commission
The Forestry Commission advises on, and implements, Government forestry policy which encourages the multiple purpose use of Britain's forests and woodlands. Its fundamental areas of responsibility are timber production, recreation, conservation, forestry advice, grant-aid and research; it also manages over 2 million acres of land in Scotland, England and Wales, and produces a range of publications.
