Faculty of Royal Designers for Industry

The Faculty of Royal Designers for Industry was created by the RSA (Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce) in 1938 as the association of RDIs, to enhance the status of designers in industry and encourage a high standard of industrial design, including architecture, interior design and engineering. Only 100 designers are able to hold the distinction RDI at any one time.
