Lighting Industry Federation (LIF)

LIF is a trade association which exists to promote the benefits of using modern lighting technology. It talks to the Government and Brussels to help to formulate policies that are complementary to the interests of the industry. It is continually campaigning to ensure that the message about improved lighting is broadcast to users, specifiers, contractors and distributors. LIF organises the Lighting Design Awards to promote the benefits of aesthetics and visual comfort, safety and security, and productivity and efficiency. Technical Statements are issued regularly on developments in lighting.
