London Stained Glass Repository

The London Stained Glass Repository is a charitable trust. It operates under the aegis of the Worshipful Company of Glaziers and Painters of Glass with the advice of representatives from bodies that include The Church Commissioners and the Council for the Care of Churches. Stained glass which may be threatened by building closure is notified to the Repository. If the glass is of sufficient merit, negotiations begin for its release to the Repository, normally as a donation. Windows are stored and catalogued with colour photographs for ready reference. An architect or designer can obtain these windows for another suitable use.
