Tree Council

The Tree Council was founded in 1974 with major support from the Department of the Environment, and is now an independent registered charity. It aims to improve the environment in town and country by promoting the planting and conservation of trees and woods throughout the UK, to disseminate knowledge about trees and their management, and to act as a forum for organisations concerned with trees. It runs its own tree planting grant scheme. The Tree Council answers queries, and publishes a magazine and a range of other publications.
