Women's Engineering Society (WES)
The Women's Engineering Society exists to: promote the study and practice of engineering among women; increase public awareness of the contribution women can make to engineering; provide a forum for the exchange of opinions and experiences respecting education, training or employment for women with interests in engineering; sustaining contacts with women engineers on career breaks and facilitating their return to paid employment by keeping them informed of progress within the profession; ensuring the voice of women engineers is heard during the deliberations of Government and policy-making institutions, and; raising the profile and effectiveness of women engineers by forming links and networking with other women's organisations.
