Of interest to planners or developers or to anyone conducting a site survey, this is a database of records of previous archeaological investigations. It is searchable by keyword, place name, by organisation or person, or project name, and can also be searched by clicking maps. It is mostly UK based but also as records for a selection of other countries.

Association for Industrial Archaeology (AIA)
The AIA is a national organisation for those interested in Britain's industrial past, bringing together those who are researching, recording, preserving and presenting the industrial heritage. Includes list of events, and abstracts of the AIA's journal.

Association of Local Government Archaeological Officers (ALGAO)
The Association provides a forum representing archaeologists working for local authorities and national parks throughout England and Wales.

British Archaeological Jobs Resource
While the main purpose of BAJR is as an employment site for the archaeology sector, it consists of a lot more than that. There are comprehensive lists of built heritage organisations, and local authority archaeologists, and an extensive section for developers, including archaeology and planning law.

Council for British Archaeology (CBA)
CBA works to promote the study and safeguarding of Britain's historic environment, to provide a forum for archaeological opinion, and to improve public interest in, and knowledge of, Britain's past. Includes online publications and links.
