Association for Project Safety (APS)
The Association for Project Safety (APS) is a multi-disciplinary membership body for those who operate in, or have an interest in, health and safety risk management in the construction industry. Includes a directory of practices and register of members.

Constructing Better Health
Constructing Better Health is the national scheme for the management of occupational health in the construction industry, the aim of which is to improve the health of the industry workforce.

Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS)
CHAS is run by a number of UK Local Authorities. The scheme may be used by any public body to find information about contractors who have been assessed within the framework of the scheme. The database provides information about companies who have passed or failed a health and safety assessment or failed to re-submit following failure. Membership of the scheme is extended to the public sector including local and health authorities, health trusts, housing associations, voluntary organisations, etc.

European Agency for Safety and Health at Work
The European Agency for Safety and Health at Work was set up to make Europe's workplaces safer, healthier and more productive, and in particular to promote an effective workplace prevention culture. Includes information on European legislation, good practice, campaigns, research and statistics.

Fall Arrest Safety Equipment Training (FASET)
FASET is a trade association and training body in the fall arrest industry. The FASET card is proof that a person has undergone extensive training in the proficiency of fall arrest safety equipment training and has achieved the required industry standard.

Gives guidance on how to avoid a variety of workplace risks, along with national statistics on the numbers and types of incidents resulting from the failure to adequately control workplace risks. Details of research and current events is also given.

The Health Protection Agency (HPA) is an independent body that protects the health and well-being of everyone in England and Wales. Includes an A-Z topic list, and detailed ifnormation on chemicals and poisons and radiation, including radon.

Safety in Design (SiD)
SiD exists to support designers in the built environment by providing benchmarked standards for knowledge and competence for designers. It supports this by accrediting training.
