With just months to go before the mandated use of Level 2 BIM on all public-sector projects, NBS are looking to find out more about the industry's awareness and use of BIM.

The sixth annual NBS National BIM Survey was launched this week, ideally timed to provide a real picture of how the Government mandate has affected BIM adoption and to document the challenges people are facing in getting 'BIM-ready'.

The survey is now available online and should only take around 10 minutes to complete.

The survey results will be presented as part of the NBS National BIM Report 2016 and by completing the survey you'll get access to a special pre-release report offering an exclusive first glimpse at the findings.

Last year's survey found that awareness of BIM was almost universal at 95%, yet the adoption figures reported a slight fall - from 54% to 48%. The report suggested that this could be because the 'Late Majority' are late to follow on from the Early Adopters and Innovators, so it will be interesting to see if adoption has accelerated in the last 12 months as the mandate starts to loom.

The survey is supported by a broad range of professional bodies that act as our partners in the research. You can see the results and commentary from last year's survey on theNBS.com.
