Video: Combined Heat and Power

In this programme we define Combined Heat and Power (CHP); the fuels that can be used to power the plant and the basic principles behind the technology and why CHP is different from co-generation plants.

We explore the different capacities of CHP plants and consider their optimum efficiencies in terms of building size and function.

Micro-CHP has been the subject of field tests by The Carbon Trust – we examine and question its findings.
