Video: The power of fuel cells

We review fuel cell technology as an alternative power source, and take a close look at one specific application.

Fuel cells were once talked about as the Holy Grail of energy production – a futuristic power source with excellent efficiency and zero pollution. However, fuel cells have not achieved the results that some of its proponents expected – even though the quest for alternative power supplies has been high on the agenda.

This programme will look at the current state of fuel cell development and with the help of a 'live' case study examine just what has been achieved – and where more needs to be accomplished.
