Video: The Big Dig at King's Cross

In The Big Dig at Kings Cross, Argent Project Director, Chris Smith, explains the scope and scale of King's Cross Central (KCC): one of London's most ambitious construction schemes which aims to totally transform this once down-at-heel area.

Chris explains the role of the SSY in keeping both KCC and Network Rail's stations supplied, but also how the Yard and the ramp will form part of the foundations for a number of the development's showcase buildings.

Piling expert, Paul Wiltcher from Skanska, and Taylor Woodrow project manager, Richard Wall-Morris, join Chris in explaining how the chamber was dug using a top-down method and how challenges, including building next to a Grade I listed building, were overcome.
