Video: The Nuclear Decommissioning Authority and Sellafield

The programme starts with an overview by Sellafield programme director, Ian Hudson, of the NDA's decommissioning programme and an explanation of Sellafield's role in achieving the safe disposal of the UK's radioactive waste.

As well as examining the management structure of the Sellafield decommissioning programme we also look at an individual construction project – the EPS3 site – and examine the myriad challenges facing the Sellafield team.

Finally we look to the future and ask how the UK can provide the skills necessary to work on such a long term programme in an industry that is often stigmatised.
