British Wind Energy Association (BWEA)

BWEA exists to promote excellence in wind energy research, development and deployment. Formed in 1979 as the industry's professional association, BWEA now also acts as the trade association for wind energy in the UK. Membership ranges from individuals and companies involved in wind energy research, consultancy, manufacture, development, operation and associated services. Through the work of its committees, the Association takes an active interest in all issues affecting the wind energy industry from financing and planning to lobbying and publicity. BWEA publishes a range of factsheets and reports, and produces a monthly newsletter.
