Building Research Establishment (BRE)

BRE is the main organisation in the UK carrying out research into building and construction and the prevention and control of fire. Staffed by experts who are leaders in their fields, BRE has many specialised technical facilities, and provides services to Government and the construction industry. It disseminates its knowledge through seminars and a wide range of priced technical publications related to the construction process, construction materials, energy and environment, geotechnics and structures, and fire safety.
