Asbestos Aware Contractors Scheme (AACS)
The Asbestos Aware Contractors Scheme is a training, education and information initiative designed to help non-licensed UK contractors and tradesmen work safely and within the law.

Constructing Better Health is the national scheme for the management of occupational health in the construction industry, the aim of which is to improve the health of the industry workforce.

Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS)
CHAS is run by a number of UK Local Authorities. The scheme may be used by any public body to find information about contractors who have been assessed within the framework of the scheme. The database provides information about companies who have passed or failed a health and safety assessment or failed to re-submit following failure. Membership of the scheme is extended to the public sector including local and health authorities, health trusts, housing associations, voluntary organisations, etc.
