A new, stand-alone specification relating to fire risk management of grease accumulation within kitchen extraction systems. Applicable to new build as well as ventilation system upgrades and maintenance.

Document History

Previously document TR 19 'Guide to good practice. Internal cleanliness of ventilation systems', (BESA) covered all aspects of ventilation cleanliness in one document. When the 3rd edition was published in 2019 this specific document was produced focusing on fire risk management of grease accumulation within kitchen extraction systems. In the 3rd edition section 7 has been withdrawn and superseded by this document. 1st edition 1998.
