Abstract

Sampling, testing, quality and grading. BS 1199 covers sands for external renderings and internal plastering with lime and Portland cement. BS 1200 covers sands for mortar for plain and reinforced brickwork, blockwalling and masonry.

Supersedes BS 1198, 1199 and 1200:1955. Superseded by BS EN 13139:2002 and declared obsolescent but remains current.
