BS 2853:2011 Specification for the testing of steel overhead runway beams for hoist blocks

Abstract
Specifies the minimum requirements during the testing process of fixed overhead runway beams made from rolled sections of steel. The test will be based on specific information i.e. full details of the loads to be handled and the service required of the runway. Applies to the runway beams and components only so excludes supporting structures, travelling trolleys or lifting appliances operating on the beams, and runway beams for cranes that run on rails.
