Abstract
Comprises the Adaptation Sub-Committee's 2nd assessment of how well the UK is prepared to deal with climate change impacts and risks. It sets out a range of indicators against which the UK's progress will be measured, and focuses on three priority areas of land-use planning, managing water resources, and the design and renovation of buildings as adaptation measures.

The Committee on Climate Change was established under the Climate Change Act 2008 as an independent advisory body to the UK Government and Devolved Administrations, to advise on emissions targets and report to Parliament on progress made in reducing greenhouse gas emissions and preparing for climate change.
