Abstract

Sets out minimum recommended criteria for acoustics in the design and management of new healthcare facilities. It addresses issues such as the provision of temporary healthcare facilities, refurbishments and the control of noise and vibration during construction, as well as test methods and procedures. Example checklists and calculations are included to assist the design process.

Document History

Supersedes HTM 08-01 and all other guidance by the Department of Health on acoustics. The checklist referred to on page 22 (Table 5) is available between marked pages 22 and 23. The Department of Health - Space for Health have made a change to the bibliographic data on the document cover.
