Abstract
Covers aims and objectives of the programme, scale, complexity and diversity of the problem being addressed, care setting diversity, diversity of built environment spaces and built environment components, the structure of the programme and stakeholder engagement, Department of Health core outcomes and the need for core design principles, benefits of the programme and benefits to people with dementia, carers, health and social care providers and the Department of Health and delivery board. Concludes by looking at recommendations for the future.
