Commercial venue spaces

NBS has some unique event spaces available to hire at its office in Newcastle, The Old Post Office.

The Grade II listed building underwent a £5.8m redevelopment back in 2016 and as a result, the former Post Office now has a variety of commercial spaces available for a range of events.

Whether it’s an intimate networking or drinks reception, conference or workshop, an exhibition or some external training, the team at NBS are ready to help find the best space for your use.

As well as fully serviced IT facilities around each space, including WiFi for hosts and guests, cinema projection, wireless displays, conference telephones and use of laptops, the building is a five minute walk from Central Station with public car parks within the same walking distance.

Lecture theatre

An audience of 50 seated guests can be accommodated in this space, used for presentations, screenings or lectures. Included in the space is use of a stunning outdoor decking area with views of St Nicholas Cathedral.

The space includes: cinema projection (4m diagonal, 1080p), projection screen, amplified 7.1 sound, blue ray player, wireless display, wired HDMI input, PC for host use, induction loop, fixed microphone, lectern, air con, blackout blinds, host and guest Wi-Fi and use of a telephone.

Board room

An audience of 20 seated guests can be accommodated in this space. It’s a traditional board room setting with the benefit of some fantastic views of St Nicholas Cathedral and surrounding areas.

The space includes: cinema projection (4m diagonal, 1080p), projection screen, amplified 2.0 sound, host and guest Wi-Fi, conference telephone, StarLeaf VC, whiteboard and power at the desk.

Bookable with this space is an adjoining break out area which can accommodate up to another 30 people. Facilities in the various break out areas include a 27” and 48” screen, wireless display, host and guest Wi-Fi, power and use of a telephone. 

The Hub

The Hub space is the centre of this working office, with attractive interior design and the draw of a fantastic outdoor garden space, all in the centre of Newcastle. 86 guests can be accommodated in this space for networking, drinks receptions or a casual dining space.

The space includes: 2 x 42” screen, broadcast TV, amplified sound 2.0, host and guest Wi-Fi, power and use of laptops.

The Gallery

A superb gallery space with its own private entrance, this space can accommodate up to 40 guests and has capacity to service physical and digital exhibitions. 

The space includes: 4 x cinema projection (4m diagonal, 1080p) with the ability to project the same or different content from all four, 4 x HDMI input, wireless display, amplified 2.0 sound and a PC to host content.  

Training Room

The training room can accommodate up to 11 seated at desks plus one standing trainer with an 80” screen available for use. It could also facilitate a closed door meeting room with 12 seated guests.

Wireless display, sound, host and guest Wi-Fi, whiteboard, telephone and power at each desk is included.
