The much talked about, but apparently little understood, Green Deal is due to come into force in October 2012.The initiative will see millions of pounds loaned to building owners in a drive to make their properties more energy efficient. About the contributors

Andrew Mellor is a partner at PRP and head of PRP Environmental. As well as specialising in the low carbon retrofit sector, Andrew has wide experience both home and abroad of sustainability projects including large scale masterplans, regeneration projects, commercial, hospitality, education and residential development.

Andrew regularly speaks at national and international conferences, writes for the building press and advises clients on corporate policy and business strategies.
