Filmed entirely on location, this programme looks at the increasingly common phenomenon of vertical gardens, or living walls as they have become known.

We look at the construction of two different types of living wall. One that uses hydroponics; that is to say where the plants are sustained through a fertiliser/water mix without soil, and one where soil-based containers are used.

Key Learning:

  • Hydroponic systems
  • Soil-based systems
  • The physical structures of two systems
  • Maintenance regimes
  • Living walls’ green credentials
