Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs

The Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA) is one of nine Northern Ireland departments, which has responsibility for food, farming, environmental, fisheries, forestry and sustainability policy and the development of the rural sector in Northern Ireland. Previously known as the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and Department of the Environment for Northern Ireland.
