There are three ways which you can renew your licence to use the NBS Software.

1) Renew within the Software:

  1. Open the NBS specifier software
  2. Select Tools > Licence Status

  3. Select the Renew or upgrade subscription button.
  4. Select either Standalone User or Network User and click on Next. For Standalone users, the default licence path will be on the local C:\ drive. If you are a Network user you will have to browse to the current licence files you wish to renew - this can also be found in Tools > Licence Status.
  5. After selecting the desired location, you will be presented with a request code. Please contact the NBS Customer Centre on 0345 456 9594 to obtain an unlock code.
  6. Select the Finish button.
  7. You will now have to restart NBS in order to activate the new licence files.

2) Renew the NBS Software while in your grace period:

When you open the software, you are presented with the following message:

With all NBS products, when your subscription expires you have a 30 day grace period which allows you to use the software as normal when you click the No button. To renew the subscription:

  1. Select the Yes button.
  2. Select either Standalone User or Network User and click on Next. For Standalone users, the default licence path will be on the local C:\ drive. If you are a Network user you will have to browse to the current licence files you wish to renew - this can be found in Tools > Licence Status.
  3. After selecting the desired location, you will be presented with a request code. Please contact the NBS Customer Centre on 0345 456 9594 to obtain an unlock code.
  4. Select the Finish button.
  5. You will now have to restart NBS in order to activate the new licence files.

3) Licence has expired - renew your subscription:

When you open the software, you are presented with the following message:

After your 30 day grace period, your NBS Software licence expires and prompt you to renew the subscription if you want to continue using the software. To renew the subscription:

  1. Select the Yes button.
  2. Select either Standalone User or Network User and click on Next. For Standalone users, the default licence path will be on the local C:\ drive. If you are a Network user you will have to browse to the current licence files you wish to renew.
  3. After selecting the desired location, you will be presented with a request code. Please contact the NBS Customer Centre on 0345 456 9594 to obtain an unlock code.
  4. Select the Finish button.
  5. You will now have to restart NBS in order to activate the new licence files.
