We know that specification evolves from briefing to detailed design, so that's why we've added some great functionality to our product to help you increase efficiencies and enable you to collaborate across the entire project team.

For example, you can select a product from our pre-written drop-downs and it automatically brings in the relevant clause. There's simply no need to re-type important information, and by building upon earlier information you avoid the risk of missing something important. NBS Create is quick, clever and precise.

NBS Create will allow an entire project team to work on a single, integrated specification, and to combine separate systems or parts of the specification into a single published document. And to help you identify who made what decisions when, NBS Create marks and tracks changes at every stage you ask it to.

Guidance

NBS Create has in-built guidance which allows clause keyword synchronisation – meaning the guidance information is displayed against the item being specified.

New guidance notes and comments can also be added by you and quick links to external documents and other clauses in the specification are hyperlinked within the software and published output.

NBS guidance can be supplemented with personalised, company-specific information, helping you to specify quicker in future subsequent projects.

Built for BIM

NBS Create has been built for Building Information Modelling. The technical content is finely structured so that it relates intelligently to other content and BIM. It forms the backbone of building information modelling.

NBS Create is quick and simple to install, you will also benefit from online content which is updated automatically, ensuring you are also using the most accurate and up to date information. Licences are stored online and can be accessed across numerous locations, allowing flexible working.

The use of hyperlinks throughout also enables easy navigation of the job, allowing access to referenced documents from the specification text. And drop down values allow for even easier NBS generic and NBS Plus clause addition.

NBS guidance can be supplemented with personalised, company specific information. In the future this will help you to specify quicker on subsequent projects.

NBS Plus

Relevant information for over 500 manufacturers and 20,000 products is available with just one click in the 'manufacturer' drop-down in the clauses. Select a manufacturer and the clause automatically updates product content. Select a product reference and the clause is updated with the specific product chosen.

Review and extract information from the specification quickly and easily

Edit and publish system and product clauses as schedules.

Track and compare

NBS Create allows you to track changes as information in the specification is added or amended over the project timeline. Milestones take a snapshot of the specification whenever you want, date-stamping the content. Two milestones can then be compared to view any differences, down to individual keyword level, and display revision information in published outputs.

Smart reporting

Smart reporting, including on-screen reports, is available across the project life and gives you instant access to all kinds of information, such as every clause that requires the contractor to submit proposals or samples, or all the manufacturers who are listed in the specification as an appendix.
