NBS clauses are organised by systems with their corresponding products pre-authored. Each system has related performance, execution and completion information. The relationships are pre-authored by NBS making it fast, simple and accurate to specify.

The use of hyperlinks throughout also enables easy navigation of the job, allowing access to referenced documents from the specification text. And drop down values allow for even easier NBS generic and NBS Plus clause addition.

NBS Plus

Relevant information for over 500 manufacturers and 20,000 products is available with just one click in the 'manufacturer' drop-down in the clauses. Select a manufacturer and the clause automatically updates product content. Select a product reference and the clause is updated with the specific product chosen.

Track and compare

NBS Create allows you to track changes as information in the specification is added or amended over the project timeline. Milestones take a snapshot of the specification whenever you want, date-stamping the content. Two milestones can then be compared to view any differences, down to individual keyword level, and display revision information in published outputs.

Smart reporting

Smart reporting, including on-screen reports, is available across the project life and gives you instant access to all kinds of information, such as every clause that requires the contractor to submit proposals or samples, or all the manufacturers who are listed in the specification as an appendix.

NBS Create is our new specification tool. It gives you the ability to add your systems to create an outline specification in the outline spec editor, then further add information to the same data to create a performance specification and then finally add further information for a full / record specification.

NBS Software Licensing

Whether you have networked or standalone computers, NBS Create can be installed on any number of machines, as it works on a per client subscription. License management controls the number of computers which can run the software concurrently.

System requirements

The testing has shown that the minimum requirements needed in order to use the NBS Create software is as follows:
