NBS Plus

NBS Plus is a library of building product manufacturer details linked to clause guidance in the NBS specification products NBS Building, NBS Engineering Services and NBS Landscape. Now, NBS Binders and Discs subscribers can take advantage of NBS Plus too.

The full NBS Plus library is now available here, to be consulted or copied into your specifications as appropriate. NBS Plus is available for the different levels of service within NBS.

NBS Plus has many benefits for the specifier:

• You can be sure that what you are specifying is accurate and suitable for the purpose intended.
• Accurate specification also reduces the likelihood of the chosen products being substituted for other products.
• You can save time without compromising quality, as in many NBS Plus entries all the information required to specify is available within the page, in NBS format.
• There is a growing number of manufacturers covering a wide range of products from which to choose.

In creating NBS Plus guidance, the technical literature submitted by a building product manufacturer is reviewed by NBS and the appropriate information edited to fit the relevant NBS clauses. It is linked to the appropriate guidance, which ensures that specifiers have the product information they need at the time they need it - when completing the specification.

NBS Plus is updated with NBS, three times a year. Update 2009-3 is the latest, released in November 2009.
