Video: Wood-boring insects

In this programme we discuss the tell-tale signs of a wood-boring insect infestation and describe how to tell the difference between the four main types of wood-boring beetle common to the UK.

Douglas Kent, technical secretary of the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings, discusses the life cycles of the beetles and the various methods available to treat infestations.

Kent also underlines the importance of a property's moisture levels and suggests that if you can control damp, you can control the infestation.
