Production drawings

This module will be developed at a later date.

Of interest might be the examples of detailed 3D models of some well-known buildings, on a commercial website.

For information on the US National CAD Standard (NCS), see the website.

The nature of production drawing (and documentation generally) is changing, as seen in the development of Building Information Models (BIMs). One recent example is the Sydney Opera House FM Exemplar Project (2006), run by the Construction Innovation CRC. The US has a National BIM Standard, which may also be of interest.

For collaborative working in the UK construction industry, using BIM, see the Avanti website.
