Production drawings

This module will be developed at a later date.

The preparation and use of production drawings are widely taught in the UK, mostly as a component of undergraduate degrees in architecture, building and engineering.

Of interest might be www.sonic.net/mdooley/plans.html.

A National Institution of Building Sciences (NIBS) PowerPoint presentation on the US National CAD Standard, is available on the CSI website.

The nature of production drawing (and documentation generally) is changing, as seen in the development of Building Information Models (BIMs). One recent example is the Sydney Opera House FM Exemplar Project, run by the Construction Innovation CRC.
