About the report
The Digital Construction Report 2025 reveals what over 550 industry professionals really think about AI, BIM, cloud technology, and sustainability, as well as how these technologies are reshaping the built environment.
Now in its 15th year, this landmark report uncovers the biggest opportunities, the toughest challenges, and the trends no construction leader can afford to ignore.
From the rapid rise of AI to the maturing role of BIM (Building Information Modelling), the report provides a snapshot of the current usage of, and attitudes towards, a range of technologies, and reports on their impact on the sector.
See how digital adoption is transforming the way projects are designed, delivered, and managed.

BIM Adoption
Building Information Modelling remains the bedrock of digital transformation. Since our first BIM report, understanding and adoption of the topic have evolved significantly, and the industry’s understanding has matured far beyond “3D models with data". So where are we now?
Product Data and Regulations
In addition to assessing the use of data management and product information management (PIM) systems, we also explore awareness and support for new product regulations and initiatives, such as Digital Product Passports. This year’s report reveals the level of industry awareness, support, and readiness for these regulatory shifts.
Changing Attitudes
Is construction really behind other industries in digital adoption? For years, the sector has been seen as a laggard, but our 2025 findings tell a different story. Confidence is growing, but so too is anxiety: more than half worry about being left behind as digital transformation accelerates. The report explores this paradox - optimism and fear in equal measure - and what it means for the future.
Thank you
This year, we surveyed 559 design and construction professionals about their use of, and views on, digital ways of working. For each completed response, we pledged to donate £1 to construction charity CRASH, and are pleased to support their important work.
The survey was also supported by a range of membership bodies and institutes, which helps us to represent different parts of the industry. We are grateful to them, and to the people who took the time to share their views.
