It is suitable for straightforward projects that do not have extensive specialist requirements. Examples include residential projects, refurbishments, small new builds, teaching blocks, student accommodation and relatively simple retail or industrial units.

There two content libraries available to choose from, including:

• The CAWs library for architectural projects, which includes:

1. All 118 minor works work sections from NBS Building.

2. 28 intermediate work sections that are most used or critical for small projects.

3. Minor works preliminaries.

• A Uniclass library for building services projects, which contains mechanical and electrical systems and products used on smaller, conventional building services projects. It is a range of systems typically found in most mechanical and electrical installations, with support for low-carbon and renewable technologies.

It is designed for architects, engineers and designers who regularly prepare specifications for smaller projects. This can include sole practitioners, smaller practices and project teams within larger organisations.

NBS Chorus supports model and specification coordination through its wider platform features. Availability may depend on your subscription, so this should be confirmed against the current plans and features.

Not necessarily. Suitability is primarily determined by the scope and technical complexity of the project. A relatively large building may still be appropriate where the construction and specification requirements are straightforward.
