Get an exclusive first look at BIM digital toolkit for the Technology Strategy Board

October 2014

The UK Government requires collaborative 3D BIM on its projects by 2016. The contract to complete this ‘level-2’ BIM suite of standards and tools has been awarded to a team led by NBS. This free BIM Toolkit will allow a collaborative project team to define, manage and validate who is responsible for what at different stages of the asset lifecycle.

At NBS Live, the BIM Stream will begin with an exclusive presentation from some of those on the team that will deliver the BIM Toolkit. The session will be chaired by David Philp, head of BIM implementation at the Cabinet Office. Dr Stephen Hamil and Stefan Mordue from NBS will present as will Alistair Kell from BDP and Claudio Benghi from BIM Academy.

Digital Thinking, Smart Building

Digital Design, technology and open data in the built environment

The RIBAJ and NBS have teamed up to create a unique programme, designed to be a one-stop shop for all things smart and digital in the built environment. This is the only industry event that brings together professionals from across multiple disciplines, around the common theme of creating and delivering a digital and technology driven built environment.

Tickets are now available [LINK REMOVED - NO LONGER CURRENT] for the conference which is being held on 4 November 2014 at the Business Design Centre in Islington, London.
