Summary

If you subscribe to a network licence you need a mapped drive for NBS Building, NBS Engineering Services and NBS Landscape. This article explains how to map a network drive.

Windows 10 and Windows 8 

  1. Click on File Explorer (Folder Icon) > Computer tab at the top of the the Explorer window, then click Map Network Drive.

  2. In the Drive box, select a drive letter.

  3. In the Folder box, type the UNC path for the server and shared resource in the following format: \\[server name]\[share name]. You can also click Browse to find the computer and shared resource.

  4. Click Finish.

Windows 7 and Windows Vista

  1. Click Start > Computer, then click Map Network Drive at the top of the the Explorer window.

  2. In the Drive box, select a drive letter.

  3. In the Folder box, type the UNC path for the server and shared resource in the following format: \\[server name]\[share name]. You can also click Browse to find the computer and shared resource.

  4. Click Finish.

Windows XP and 2000

  1. To connect a drive from My Computer, click Start > right-click My Computer, and then click Explore.

  2. Click Tools > Map Network Drive.

  3. In the Drive box, click a drive letter.

  4. In the Folder box, type the UNC path for the server and shared resource in the following format: \\[server name]\[share name]. You can also click Browse to find the computer and shared resource.

  5. Click Finish.
