Abstract
Discusses the effect of smoke and the role of doorstops. Charts the introduction of more stringent requirements and move away from measuring leakage from the bottom of the door. Identifies implications of fitting edge seals to a door leaf on the design of a door assembly and minimum requirements for durability. Addresses design considerations resulting from the use of smoke-sealed doors and specifying sealed door assemblies.
