Abstract
Argues that digital and transport infrastructure should be considered as part of a long term strategy complementing a wider place based plan for a town and that the present funding system is not fit for purpose. Covers: why infrastructure matters for towns; developing and delivering and local infrastructure strategies; and central government can help deliver high quality infrastructure in towns.
