Design Aid 5 Load tables for glued ply-box beams to BS 5268

Abstract

Complements TRADA publication DA 4/84 'Load tables for nailed ply-box beams', which provides for beams of nailed construction in similar types of timber and plywood. Both publications give load tables for beams having flanges of strength classes SC2 to SC5, catering mainly for softwoods stress graded to the GS and SS grades of BS 4978:1973, and for beams having keruing flanges stress graded to the HS grade of BS 5756:1980.
