Fix Radio can be heard on DAB digital radio across london and around the world on the web and was officially launched by Pimlico Plumbers' founder Charlie Mullins on Wednesday 26 April. Charlie joined breakfast show presenters Trev and Ben to hit play on the first song - Starship's We Built This City.

The station is the brainchild of Louis Timpany who came up with the idea of a dedicated station for tradespeople while working on a building site after graduating from Leeds University.

Louis teamed up with radio content consultant Paul Chantler to develop the proposal and carry out market research on potential listeners and advertisers. The result is Fix Radio, offering a lively mix of tracks from the 80s, 90s, 00s and today, with programming scheduled to fit in with a tradesperson's typical day.

To promote the station to tradespeople all over London, a fleet of three ‘bacon butty vans’ will be visiting sites handing out 20,000 free butties over 40 days. The team have also secured piped-in coverage across a range of construction 'mega-sites'.

You can find out more about the station and listen online at www.fixradio.co.uk, via the RadioPlayer or a dedicated app on iOS or the TuneIn Radio app on iOS or Android.

We can't wait to see how many songs from our Top 40 playlist for construction get an airing on the station...
