To start the new year, we’re looking at the latest and featured RIBA accredited CPD materials as well as those with a focus on building conservation and heritage.

This month’s RIBA CPD Showcase looks at the theme of building conservation and heritage - including a selection of CPD materials from leading specialists in the protection, preservation, renovation and modernisation of existing buildings.

All of the CPD materials included here are RIBA-accredited so you’ll earn double points, which count towards your annual total requirement of 100 learning points.

The latest CPD section includes online learning and seminars such as ‘A Guide to Ground Gas’ by Sovereign Chemicals Ltd, ‘Beauty in the Eye of the Specifier’ by Johnson Tiles and ‘Movement in Brickwork’ by Vandersanden Brick.

Some of the CPD material focussing on building conservation and heritage includes:

• Lime in Building Conservation by EcoRight Limited
• Handmade Bricks – Manufacturing Tradition for our Modern Built Environment by York Handmade Brick Co Ltd

In this month’s issue we also look at RIBA Core Curriculum topics ‘Sustainable architecture’ and ‘Conservation and reservation’. Remember, you should spend a minimum of 20 hours on CPD that incorporates material from the 10 Core Curriculum topics.
