NBS supporting CITB BIM research – you can help too

May 1, 2013 |NBS |1 Minute Read

May 2013

CITB is researching BIM-related skills needs arising amongst traditional occupations within contractors, sub-contractors and trades-people as well as the strengths/weaknesses of BIM, and attitudes of contractors and trades-people towards its future development. The research is being conducted with a view to improving the relevant support and training CITB offers to the trade-sector, thereby improving the BIM-readiness of the supply chain.

CITB's main intention would be to undertake an in-depth semi-structured interview lasting around 45 minutes with a single representative of each organisation taking part. CITB's research agency, HPI, is already arranging and conducting these interviews.

It's a project NBS are supporting, and we think our customers can help too. CITB would really like to hear from sub/small contractors with site-experience of BIM – so if you have relevant contacts who might be able to help, please ask them to contact alan.tanner@citb.co.uk.
