This month’s RIBA CPD Showcase looks at the latest RIBA-approved CPD with a focus on stone, bricks and mortar.

October’s RIBA CPD Showcase focuses on the building blocks of construction: stone, bricks and mortar. As usual, we’ve also included a range of other CPD in addition to our themed content.

This month’s showcase features additional CPD looking at ‘Building conservation and heritage’ and ‘Sustainable architecture’. Remember, you should spend a minimum of 20 hours on CPD that incorporates material from the 10 Core Curriculum topics.

The latest CPD section includes online learning and seminars such as ‘Brick Slip Facades’ by Stofix UK Ltd, ‘Climate Change as a Force for Innovation’ by Milliken and ‘How to Specify Sustainable Flooring’ by Junckers Ltd.

Some of the CPD material with a focus on stone, brick and mortars includes:

• ‘Making Brick Work’ by James Mossman Ltd
• ‘Right Brick First Time’ by Michelmersh Brick Holdings Plc
• ‘How to Correctly Specify Stone for Exterior and Interior Use’ by Stoneworld Oxfordshire Ltd

Our selection of live and online seminars includes ‘Working at Height and the Latest Legislation’ by Latchways plc, ‘Natural Stone: Types, Finishes and Applications’ by Lundhs AS and ‘Specify Wall and Floor Tiling With Confidence’ by Ardex Ltd.
