Abstract
Views of the Centre for Window and Cladding Technology [CWCT], also known as the Bath cladding centre, along with those of Taywood Engineering, on the cladding industry post-Latham and post-Egan report. Also outlines current test methods used in the pursuit of assured performance and the growing interest in life-cycle costing. Priority areas are identified as integrated design, cladding life-cycle, better specifications, interfaces with other elements, buildability, integrity, durability and structural testing.
