Abstract
Inclusive design guidelines for mainstream and special schools, focussing on providing and improving facilities for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities. Split into five sections, briefly describing the background, setting the context and looking at planning projects, the design approach offers principles and strategies, designing school spaces examines spaces: access, circulation, learning, social and support, provides detailed technical information and offers some case studies.
