Abstract
Summarises practical steps for the design of timber frame buildings so they avoid or resist flooding. Also considers steps to take and selecting materials to enhance flood resilience, with reference to exterior cladding, cavity, exterior/interior sheathing, timber, insulation, internal linings and floor zones.
